Explore Poetic Lectio Divina

With roots based in Catholic mysticism meaning ‘sacred reading’, we are reimagining the practice with poetry for a secular and holistic approach to dropping into a contemplative state of mind.

We will read a curated selection of poetry following the 4 steps:

Lectio (translated directly as Read, we are changing to Listen)

Meditatio (Meditate)

Oratio (translated directly as pray, we are changing to Reflect)

Contemplatio (Rest)

This creates a pathway to presence without a need to achieve anything or perform. We let the words bypass our intellect and resonate on a deeper level opening up insights we may normally ignore.

We encourage you to find a routine that supports this weekly Lectio Divina ritual. We will read a selection of our favorite poems each week. We want to offer an alternative and inclusive way into meditation and reflection in our busy lives.
