We ring the bell 108 times to symbolize the cleansing of our 108 vices, flaws or mistakes. It is a time for reflection and renewal. The only imaginary animal in the zodiac, the auspicious dragon brings us abundance and success. Each person rings the bell once and afterwards you are welcome to relax with drinks and snacks served in the tea room overlooking the garden and bell tower.
